Performance

Every detail of a Triot trike is engineered for supreme performance.  Attack the trail, corner with confidence, and stop under control.

Diamond Truss Frame

Triot trike diamond truss aluminum frame
The Triot frame begins with each tube of the frame built of hardened 6061 series aluminum in a super strong, reinforced diamond pattern.  Then, the tubes are welded into the truss design (one tube supported over another) to give the frame unsurpassed strength and longevity.  This design is much stronger than a traditional tube frame.  It is able to flex just enough for comfort and control while maintaining its strength and performance.

Gates Carbon Belt Drive

The carbon belt drive used at the rear of the trike provides outstanding performance and longevity.  The carbon reinforced belt is able to transfer power to the wheel more efficiently than a traditional steel chain so almost none of your effort in pedaling is lost.  The light weight material keeps the trike nimble and easy to ride.  The materials used don't need to be greased and last 2 -3 times longer than a traditional chain before it needs to be replaced.  Only the best cycles use a Gates Carbon Belt Drive.

High Quality Components

Triot trike quality components
Consistent with the beautiful design, superior comfort, and meticulous safety, the components used on the Triot trike are outstanding.  Custom-designed hydraulic disc brakes made by Tektro, precision engineered hubs, and high-quality wheels are just the start.  Each Triot comes with your choice of the smooth and continuous Nuvinci rear hub or a top-of-the-line 14 -peed Rohloff internally geared rear hub.  You also have the option of adding a Hammerschmidt overdrive in the front crank to increase your gear ratio from 1 to 1.6 at the flip of a lever.

Precision Steering

Triot trike steering
When turning a trike, or a car, the inside wheel needs to turn in a sharper circle than the outer wheel in order to maintain traction.  The technology used to make this happen is called Akermann Steering.  Triot uses akermann steering to maintain perfect control while turning; no wheels slipping or losing traction in the turn.  As a rider you are able to maintain safe control of the trike, reduce cornering strain on the frame, and reduce wear on your tires.
